Planet Pages Updated and Pages Added: Want to know how much you would weigh on Jupiter? What is the story behind the planet names? All of the planet pages in the Student Center section have been updated and new pages for the Cassini Mission to Saturn, Planet Myths and Lore and Quaoar and Kuiper Belt Objects have been added. 10/11/2002

Monthly Star Charts Added: Want to know if a certain constellation can be seen tonight? Click on the Star Maps page and find out. For those in the Northern Hemisphere these maps point out the main constellations. Field Trip to Mars, Just for Kids: New pages have been added to Field Trip to Mars. All of the topics are available from the first page. Click here to go to the Field Trip to Mars - Kids page. Field Trip to Mars, Mars Features on Earth: Field Trip to Mars is a self-guided excursion to view various sites located on or near the central plateau of Washington that correlate to features found on Mars. The trip starts in Spokane, WA, and travels throughout the Columbia Plateau. Included is a section on volcanoes with a page about Mount St Helens, an active volcano that "blew its top" in 1980. Also included is information on Mars Pathfinder, earthquakes, giant floods, Glacial Lake Missoula, sand dunes, lava flows, dust devils, and geological background material.
